REMI has returned with an admirable new single, titled ‘5 A.M.’

Melbourne artist REMI and musical collaborator Sensible J are two of the fastest-rising hip-hop acts in the country, and together they have quickly gained the attention of international tastemakers alike.

This week the pair returned to the limelight with the release of their introspective new single, titled ‘5 A.M.‘. A remarkable track which delves into the depths of overcoming a toxic relationship and moving forward.

Featuring additional efforts from Whosane, who dresses the single with some beautiful old school R&B-esque vocals, the track presents compelling multilayered production and flawless storytelling lyricism into one incredible piece of work.

Furthermore, Remi announced this new joint “goes out to anybody who woke up in a pile of their own mess … anyone whose ever been cooked in a squat … [and] anybody trying to get better.”

Released via Beige Records ‘5 A.M.‘ is also Remi and J’s first release since 2016 when they dropped their ‘Divas and Demons’ project. Though this isn’t including their recent collaborative work with Raiz Riza and Thando.

We can only hope that there’s plenty more where this record came from, and perhaps see a brand new project on the horizon. There’s no denying that Remi and Sensible J are a deadly combo, when they come together it’s nothing but hits all round.

5 A.M.‘ IS ALSO AVAILABLE ON ALL STREAMING PLATFORMS HERE!
