Flimsey Lohan are back with an animated new cut ‘Jimi in the Mazda’

FL

One of Melbourne’s best-kept secrets is Flimsey Lohan, a Hip-Hop and Jazz fused quartet who have quietly been garnering a cult following over the past couple of years.

Looking to continue thriving in 2020, the band have returned with a boisterous new single titled ‘Jimi In The Mazda‘, which comes as their first drop of the year.

The record offers their signature blend of sleek wordplay and hard-hitting  instrumentation that is both bold and incredibly vibrant.

According to Flimsey Lohan, the record is heavily influenced by rappers Jehst and Danny Lover; dancing across an experimental landscape inspired by the likes of BADBADNOTGOOD, Mulatu Astatke and 30/70.

Word on the street is the band has several more singles up their sleeve, with plans to pair an upcoming release with visuals courtesy of local film genius Zac Harris.
