After becoming the first female signee to Def Jam AU/NZ, Melbourne-based beat maker SADIVA has shared her final independent single with ‘I’ve Been Thinking‘.
The record brings a modern flip of the classic ‘I Like It’ by DeBarge, lacing Boom-Bap sampled Hip-Hop beats over the stimulating melody. Amid vibrant synths and pitched-up vocals, SADIVA embraces the foundations of 80s funk, while maintaining the essence of her signature Hip-Hop flair. ‘I’ve Been Thinking‘ greets the listener with a warm and jazzy soundscape, before quickly buildinging into a colourful array of uplifting sonics. Hit play and see.
What’s more, the release comes accompanied with two remixes from long-time residents of Delight Records. Drum and bass producer Aaron Static offers an old-school jungle remix perfect for the ravers, while the RaptorHandz remix delivers a clever hybrid of footwork and juke elements.
