Eleji is one of Australia’s most dynamic and adept artists, period. He holds an extensive catalogue spanning over eight years and is no stranger to the local hip hop culture.
Now, after heavy anticipation, the emcee has returned with a brand new EP which is available on all popular streaming services.
At seven tracks long, ‘The Alex Danger Tapes‘, flawlessly combines the emcee’s multifaceted attributes. With Eleji being able to open up about his darker side in a positive approach, which is heard on ‘Paranoid‘.
In contrast, Eleji further demonstrates his versatility as an artist by bringing those nostalgic and feel-good vibes, present on his collaborative track ‘G.O.D.‘ featuring fellow Melbourne emcee, DEX.
However, our highlight and favourite track from this riveting new EP is ‘No Mercy‘. This cut brings together an exciting range of harmonies and melodies, while also staying true to Eleji’s signature and captivating anecdotes.
For instance, both Tides and Renee Pounsett bring nothing but flavour to this record, creating for a soothing and therapeutic listen.
Moreover, with another quality release from the local Melburnian and hip hop veteran, Eleji continues to prove he has what it takes to compete on the global stage.
You can catch Eleji’s EP launch at Boney on August 11th, featuring support from DEX, Talakai, Dosboy, Tides, Sol Bishop and Malway.
