Three months into 2020 and this year has already proven to be a monumental year for Australia’s innovative young artist Baro Sura. Having already cemented his position within the country’s music scene long ago with his unique cadence, laid-back flows and jazzy 90’s inspired production.
The emerging creative recently saw global recognition after appearing as the only feature on his hero Mac Miller’s posthumous album ‘Circles‘, where Baro contributed to the track ‘Hand Me Downs‘ offering drums and his soothing vocals for the chorus.
Doubling as a beautiful farewell, the record gave his career some promising spotlight with well earned praise from fans all over the world, including a feature article by music media giant Genius.

Moving with this success, Melbourne’s Baro looks to be keeping his promise of delivering more music as he links up with frequent collaborator SilentJay for two new cuts titled ‘What’s Wrong?‘ and ‘In Ur Eyes‘.
Also featuring Australia’s widely talented act REMI, these new releases present a slow-paced blend of avant-garde Jazz, Soul and Hip-Hop sonics. They remind us why we fell in love with Baro’s unconventional artistry many years ago.
Further, while ‘What’s Wrong?‘ and ‘In Ur Eyes‘ make for two exceptionally different listening experiences, they both embody a raw and distinctively eccentric soundscape that’s made complete with sleek conscious wordplay at the forefront.
Approaching the second quarter of 2020, TLF hopes to see Baro Sura remain true to his word of ‘starting the new decade with a really good album‘.
It seems like now is a better time than ever, the multifaceted artist has truly captured the attention of the global music world.
