Returning with his first release for 2020, Melbourne-based alt-R&B artist Ceeko has shared a riveting new single titled ‘Open‘, giving listeners an initial taste of his upcoming EP ‘Where Do We Begin‘.
Inspired by those aggrieved by love, the record offers a candid account of the challenges faced when one is scarred by previous relationships. It’s about the unwillingness to let anyone else inside your heart, until you meet another person who feels the same pain.
Created alongside Burn City producer HFNR, the chilling soundscapes fuse Ceeko‘s effortlessly lush vocals with warm guitar licks and elastic drums.
Further, ‘Open‘ hears tantalising harmonies taunt between each pause to continuously build anticipation before reaching a musical climax driven by his opulent falsetto.

With Ceeko‘s EP scheduled for release later this year, TLF will be eagerly awaiting its arrival, as it’s expected to dive deeper into the joys and pains of love. While also promising more romantic rhythms and soulful melodies.
