Matthew Craig returns for a raw new single and visual ‘Cream of the Crop’

While spending months in lockdown throughout 2020, Melbourne-based tastemaker Matthew Craig invested a great deal of time into his craft and delivered eminent cuts such as ‘Plug All Night‘ and ‘Isolation Freestyle / No Face, No Case‘.

Gearing up for the release of his forthcoming project ‘Pass The Lighter Vol.1‘ (due early 2021); Craig looks to begin the roll out with a hefty new single titled ‘Cream of the Crop‘. Laced with dark undertones, reverberating kicks and grimy synths, the production from JUJO opens up the track for Matthew Craig’s dexterous wordplay.

At just over two minutes, the Sri-Lankan / Australian emcee glides over the beat with witty wordplay, head-turning punchlines and stylish flows. It encompasses the golden era of Hip-Hop as Craig delivers raw, unfiltered raps with a focus on penmanship and clever lyricism.

What’s more, the single comes equipped with a black and white visual where the rising talent is posted up in the city’s ‘North North’; surrounded by vintage cars, his close circle of artists, influencers and creatives. The Matthew Craig takeover is well and truly in session, we cant wait to see what his pending project brings!
