After establishing himself as one of this city’s most talented new acts, emerging Melbourne-based artist Andre Jemal looks to continue turning heads as he unveils his highly anticipated album ‘When It’s Over‘.
The full-length project puts forward a wide selection of sonics, captivating listeners with heavy-hitting flows, unpredictable rhyme patterns and moody lyricism. Andre opens up and expresses his inner frustrations while also channelling themes of love, relationships, and the celebration of life. Moreover, the album offers a great display of upbeat anthems (‘Mood‘, ‘Irreplaceable‘, ‘Summer Vacation‘) as well as musing introspective cuts (‘Burn City Girl’, ‘How I Would‘, ‘All 4 U‘) – there’s a song for every occasion.
Andre Jemal sounds at his best, inhabiting a charismatic blend of Afrobeat, Dancehall, Hip-Hop, R&B and Pop. Hence, there’s no doubt ‘When It’s Over‘ is bound to supply the promising emcee with some well-deserved recognition.
Jemal really brought his A-game and even executed some early 2010’s Drake vibes.
