Melbourne’s Chux keeps the heat coming with the release of his weighty new single, titled ‘Never Go Back‘, which also features fellow Burn City artist Sin Santos.

The track glides like a high-performance car, combining heavy 808’s and sleek production. Further, both emcees come in swinging by delivering fast-paced flows with smooth melodies and intrinsic wordplay.

Prior to the release, TLF linked up with Chux to learn more about the new record, the process behind it, working with Sin Santos, and what else we can expect to see from him in the future. Check out our exclusive interview below:

Kicking things off, Chux told TLF his musical influences vary from the likes of 50 Cent and Tupac, with Da Baby, Dave, Skepta, and GoldLink among many others who inspire him more recently.

When asked what this new record means to him personally, Chux explained that it’s primarily about his progression over the years and how far he’s come.

“I want everyone to know that I ain’t never going back and it’s only up from here. I’m basically leaving all the bullshit behind,” said Chux.

Delving deeper and discussing the process of joining forces with Sin Santos, Chux told TLF he knew he wanted a feature on the song as soon as he finished his verse.

“… my boy Cater linked me up with Sin and we just connected from then on. We actually came to be good mates which is a blessing. He’s one talented dude,” said Chux.

Looking forward, the emerging artist is set to take the stage for his first gig at Laundry Bar on Thursday November 7.

“I’m hoping to release another single by the end of the year as well. The people should definitely keep an eye out for more music and more shows at the start of 2020,” added Chux.
