George Myer looks to turn heads after sharing a remarkable new release titled ‘Don’t Be Selfish’

After gaining momentum last year with his popular releases ‘If I Lose You‘, ‘Miami‘ and ‘Need You Here‘, Melbourne-based artist George Myer continues his shine in 2021 as he unveils a sleek and moody new ballad ‘Don’t Be Selfish‘.

Laced with various elements of Hip-Hop, R&B and Soul, the single presents intoxicating melodies and musing refrains where Myer wears his heart on his sleeve. Moreover, fuelled by dark and atmospheric sonics, ‘Don’t Be Selfish‘ sounds like it could have easily originated from Toronto’s late night music scene – projecting a vibe reminiscent to the likes of PARTYNEXTDOOR, SAFE and Roy Woods.

What’s more, the record comes equipped with stunning visuals to further accompany the release and bring the audible to life. Directed by Finegan Sampson (OneHouse Productions) the video puts forward a cinematic viewing experience filled with quick cuts between an intimate late night outing and an innovative shots of George Myer performing to camera amid an eccentric backdrop of piled TV’s.

Currently gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated debut album, The Local Frequency is eager to hear more from the aspiring virtuoso. The level of potential and talent Myer possesses at such an early stage in his career is incredible, there’s no doubt he’s on the right track to dominate the charts. Don’t sleep!
