Mixing rapid percussion with heavy 808’s and smooth melodies, the single offers a musing listening experience filled with grungy aesthetics reminiscent to the likes of Juice WRLD, Lil Peep, The Weeknd and lil aaron.

Moreover, ‘weekend‘ explores themes of honesty, frustration, and heartbreak, as kailen delivers genre-bending vocals swaying between Hip-Hop, Emo, Trap and Rock. Following his breakout year in 2020 with popular tracks ‘far away‘ and ‘last night‘, this new release further solidifies his propitious rise as an independent artist.
