Emerging Melbourne-based artist Veshawn kicks off his 2022 with a glorious new single ‘Sick of This‘ featuring fellow local up-and-comer $tainisdead.

At just over two minutes in runtime, this new one comes laced with stripped-back production that utilises dark guitar chords, distorted snares, and thumping 808s. While Veshawn and $tainisdead externalise their frustrations through melancholic harmonies in a manner that’s pleasingly reminiscent to the likes of ‘Emo Rap’ icons Lil Peep and Steven Moses.

Writer’s note: I probably used this comparison in my last write-up, but it’s honestly the perfect way to paint the picture. 🙂

If this release serves as any indication of what’s next for these promising newcomers, then it’s safe to say we’re in for an absolute treat. Don’t sleep, Veshawn and $tainisdead are bound to make waves!
