At nine tracks deep, the project puts forward an eclectic fusion of 90s R&B alongside rich elements of Hip-Hop/Rap. For instance, the opening track ‘Red Light‘ comprises a groovy drum and bass foundation which hears Markia deliver glossy melodies while Chux contributes eloquent wordplay and juxtaposing flows. In turn, this sets the tone for the rest of the album as both acts feed off of one another to instill a high level of animated and robust charisma. Songs such as ‘Maintain‘ (with Sin Santos), ‘Real Living‘, and ‘Fly Away‘ (with KILL Carter), showcase the pair’s ability to execute fast-paced performances over diversely produced soundscapes.
On the contrary, tracks like ‘Champagne Rose‘, ‘Crush‘, and ‘Suit & Tie‘, present a slower tempo with a stronger focus on captivating listeners through anthemic choruses and intrinsic lyricism. All-in-all this album is a MUST listen, it’s jam-packed with rawness and compiles nine tracks of straight heat. There’s no skips on this one, just sit back, hit play, and thank us later!
