Returning with his second release for the year, Sudan-born/Melbourne-based artist Rockstar BO LA looks to keep the ball rolling as he shares a melodic and sanguine new single ‘OH BABY‘.
Produced by himself alongside Stu Watts and Dylan, the record meshes bright guitar strings, swift drums, and heavy 808s into a well-polished Afrobeat anthem. Lyrically, ‘OH BABY‘ hears BO LA reflect on the self-sabotage and mistreatment of the love he’d been given, deciding to accept his wrongs and deliver a wholesome love letter apology.
Speaking on the release, Rockstar BO LA says;
“The song came about as a freestyle but because of the authenticity of the vibe, the lyrics and the beat, I knew the song carried the right spirit to show the world.”
What’s more, this new track arrives with accompanying high-quality visuals directed by Ez Eldin Deng, a fellow Sudan-born creative who is etching their name in the Melbourne scene. Released via his independent label Kushite Entertainment, the video captures both the heartwarming and heartbreaking moments of his past relationship.
