There’s no doubt the Melbourne hip hop scene has been hit by an enormous wave that has brought a revolutionary and reformed sound into the genre.
This week ‘MoreLifeMonday’ proudly introduces local artist KVNYL, whom recently dropped his brand new track ‘The Wave‘ via Off The Clef.
The track (prod by Hamley) is just as OTC states, “an introspective look at Hip-Hop today and his position within the Australian scene.”
‘The Wave’ perfectly encapsulates the current state of the Australian hip hop scene while establishing boundaries and the need to develop a sound/culture that can be recognised on a global scale.
With a heavy trap influence fused with some choppy instrumentation, this new jam has KVYNL spitting straight fire with bouncy flows and catchy lyricism.
KVYNL is set to drop his debut EP ‘rflct’ on October 26 and we can’t wait to hear what else is to come from the rising emcee!
