2017 has been a huge year for Sophiegrophy, as the young Nigerian-born, New Zealand-raised artist earned herself a position on the WVS roster, while also achieving some milestone collaborations with both Walker & Royce and Milwaukee Banks.
Though it seems the ‘Burn City Queen’ is still not done for the year, following the release of her fresh, inspiring and captivating debut single, ‘Fa$t Life’.
The track (produced by Lewis CanCut) smoothly encapsulates the surrounding issues which arise as a result of living in a fast paced world. Sophiegrophy explores the idea we are continuously living the fast life, where we believe we have to live at such a fast pace to obtain what we want, rather than what we need.
“Take control of yourself & your emotions, don’t let anybody or any situation get the best of you, you are a dime, slow down with your life, sit down and realise that” – Sophiegrophy
‘Fa$t Life’ is a beautiful display of enlightening lyricism, fused with incredible melodies and electronic vibrations, deeming it one of those jams that’s sure to sneak its way into your Summer playlist.
As The Local Frequency has been following Sophiegrophy all year, and absolutely loving her diverse and stylistic sound, we cannot wait to see what’s to come next!
