MoreLifeMonday: MLBRN

Keeping in Monday tradition The Local Frequency presents another week of ‘MoreLifeMonday’, the unique platform which provides Melbourne artists the opportunity to gain more love and more life on their previous releases.

This week TLF honour MLBRN, a local emcee with not only the coldest flow in the game, but also the hardest bars you’ve heard in a minute.

The artists’ vocal delivery is executed flawlessly with precision on every track he jumps on, while his wordplay has you visualising the introspective message at hand.

At 26-years-old, MLBRN’s gained a reputation for his heavy, “old school meets new school”, hip hop sonic. The emcee is always ready to prove he has what it takes to be the best, and he won’t let anything stand in his way.

Our favourite jam of his, ‘Exposed’ (check it above), which is accompanied with some killer visuals, perfectly encapsulates his originality and stupendous ability to spit straight bars. MLBRN can be seen setting an example for his brothers, while rapping about his personal struggles and motivation for greatness.

Both the video and the track are a must, you haven’t heard an Australian hip hop artist like this before (check out MLBRN’s impressive catalogue of songs here).

Though MLBRN recently stated he’s taking a short break from music, there’s no doubt you’ll be seeing his face in the future as he’s quickly evolving into one of this country’s urban veterans.
