After releasing his two remarkable singles, ‘Fly Away‘ and ‘Got Somebody‘, veteran Melbourne-based hip-hop artist and boxer, Benny Sinclair, has returned to drop off the rest of his second, solo full-length project, ‘Don’t Take It Personal‘.
Working as a continuation from his debut album ‘The Impeccable Word‘, Benny told TLF that ‘DTIP’ was written during a time where he was striving to find himself and deal with many challenging life experiences at the same time.
Musically, this new album encapsulates a diverse range of sounds which in turn showcases how versatile Benny’s vocabulary of sonics are.
Heavily inspired by Don Miguel Ruiz’s ‘The Four Agreements‘, which reveals the source of self-limiting beliefs that rob us of joy and create needless suffering, Benny Sinclair aspires to keep busy and excel in his passions for putting the gloves on to box and jumping in the booth to record.
“Seeing your lyrics move people is the greatest rush, and having your glove raised after a fight is the biggest reward,” Sinclair told TLF.
Like Rui’z collection, Benny also plans on releasing a four-part series to his music, with two additional albums to be released that will detail the trials and tribulations he’s faced and the lessons that were learnt along the way.

As the gracious family man and life-teacher he is, Sinclair told TLF the key message he wants people to take away from his music is to spread positivity and have people connect with his lyrics.
“It’s not about fame, I want to inspire people do to better things with their lives,” he added.
And in 2019 it’s no different, Sinclair plans to proceed with the same energy and finish off his next album, titled ‘Assumptions‘. While also aiming to release more music, drop new visuals, and line up some gigs to go on tour.
